    Dear Naomi,

Thank you for your letter. Now I am the one who will be preoccupied for a
bit. We are making our annual pilgrimage to Oklahoma to see all the
    relatives, some Son descendants, included!

I was going to say that I would write when I get back, but it really won't
take too long to just do it right now.

I received this letter on November 13, 1974, from Bertie Stark Fisher.

    Son Family

"Father - James Son married Liza Harris. They had 12 children.

George had three children - Eva, Jim, Oliver.

John had 4 boys- Homer, Earnest, Henry, John. Girls Minnie, Stella,Della.

Tom married Ida Carney thay had Alvin, John, Jim. Girls Blanch, Leota,Emma,
    and
    Della.
    Joe, wife Anna

Dan married Rella Short, thay had 8 children Dalph (could this beRalph?),
Aubry, Malcom, and John. Girls Alma, Ruth, Reta, Bess.

    Jim (no children)

Roe wife was Lillie don't know her last name. Thay had two boys don't know
    thair names.

Son girls - Nannie married Isaac Stark. Thay had 6 children - Will, Elmer,
Clarence, John. Two girls Pearl and Bertie.

Beckey married John Wes?. Thay had 4 children, three boys Roy, Ray,and Earl
    a girl Alice.

Aunt Jennie married Grange (Surley it's not Orange, but the first letter is
difficult to read...SRF) Karstetter, thay had 6 children. Wilbur, George,
and John. Girls Edith, Ethel, Ruby.

Aunt Maggie married Buck Bradford. Thay had two girls Lena and Lois.

Aunt Anna married John McGinnis. Thay had two children Lawrence and Maree."

This was not written by Nannie, but rather by her daughter Bertie. I
spelled and punctuated everything as she did, because I like the charm of
    her way of writing.
I think there are a few discrepancies, but it was interesting that this
little lady (I think she was 89) could still remember so much. We visited
the Eldon and Enoch Station area on Father's Day ---just took a little
country drive. Didn't know what we were looking for, so didn't go to the
cemeteries. I will do more homework before my next trip down that way.

    Best wishes,

    Shirley Fisher
