In the 1790 US Census Abraham was head of household of ten people, and
owned one dwelling and three other buildings. Abraham moved his family
to Pittsylvania Co where he bought a large tract of land in Sandy River
near Franklin Co. May 27 1772 he bought 210 acres on Aaron's Creek, a
branch of Turkey Cocke Creek for 50 pounds from George Jefferson, first
cousin of President Thomas Jefferson. Abraham bought four tracts from
Virginia pursuant to 1799 legislation encouraging settlers by offering
'waste and unappropriated lands' for sale at 40 pounds per 100 acres:
320 acres surveyed Oct 29 1782, deed signed by Gov. Benjamin Harrison
Jun 2 1784 Richmond VA; 96 acres; 400 acres; and 220 acres surveyed
Apr 9 1801 and signed Jun 10 1802 by Gov. James Monroe

There is some evidence that this is Judith Dill, but no proof of a
marriage between these two in Lancaster Co PA or Pittsylvania Co VA,
the only mention of a marriage was in a vanity press publication that
provided no documentation

Adair County News, Feb. 20, 1901 (Adair County, KY)

Died, on the 14th, Mr. Wyatt STAPP, in his 86th year, who had been infeeble
health for several years but bore his affliction with great fortitude.He
was a member of the Baptist church and an every day Christian. Thefuneral
services was conducted by Rev. H. T. JESSE and the remains interred inthe
family burying ground. He leaves a wife, several children and a hostof
friends to mourn their loss.
