    Notes:

    Some records give Thomas Turner as a member of Zions Camp, possibly a late arrival. he died in Far West from mob wounds and suffered the loss of property at the hands of the mob according to reports. He was ordained aa Seventy by Sidney Rigdon in Far West.

    Notes:

    Thomas Turner Senior was also a Thomas Turner Jr. and his father was Thomas Turner. According to land records the first mentioned Thomas Turner deeded property to his son Thomas Turner Jr., in Sandisfield Mass. in 1793. This same Thomas Turner received land from his father Thomas Turner in 1789 in Montville, New London Conn. Another Deed is to his brother Matthew Turner also from Thomas Turner in 1789. Both brothers deeded back this property to their widowed mother Marcy Turner in 1795 upon the death of their father.

    Thomas Turner Sr. listed above was a large landholder. The land that he lived upon was surrounded by families with the last name of Chappell and Bishop.
