Warren Pettey died. Tuesday evening at 11:20 from the effects of diptheria. Mr. Petty is a young man and leaves a wife and five small children. The bereavement is one of the saddest that has occurred in this place. The mother is dangerously ill and the death of her husband makes her condition simply pitable.

It is reported that a girl of Jens Larsen has the diptheria.

Several families have been exposed to the diptheria but they have been quarantined and it is to be hopped that a further spread of the disease will be avoided.

These warm days are causing the snow to disappear and we are having mud, mud, but the farmers are still smiling.

The remains of Warren Petty were buried at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The name Petty was spelled two different ways in the article.
