Heber C. Petty one of the substantial citizens of Emery died there on Friday last of Bright's disease aged 61 years. Mr. Petty had not been well since he returned from his mission in Kentucky a year or more ago. His funeral on Sunday showed the great respect in which he was held by his friends and neighbors. The meeting house was crowded and it seemed that everyone in Emery followed the body to the grave. Many splendid tributes were paid by the speakers to his memory. He was a zealous worker for the church expecially in Sunday school matters. He leaves a widow and several grown children and an army of friends to morn his loss.
