Miss Maud Bunnell of Castledale was critically ill this week and for a short time it was feared that she would not survive. Her temperature reached 104 and pulse 132. On Thursday night the crisis was reached and passed and she is now believed to be on the road to recover.

NOBLE YOUNG WOMAN PASSES AWAY SUDDENLY

A very sad death occurred at Castledale on Monday July 5th when Maude (Bunnell) Petty wife of Alexander Petty passed into the great beyond. Her death was caused from Bright’s disease which brought about premature birth.
In October of last year Mrs. Petty was afflicted with her kidneys and was bedfast for the period of eight weeks and since that time the young woman had been afflicted with this disease.
Deceased was born in Spring City Sanpete county Utah October 18 1883 and was in her 26th year of age. When eight years of age she was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints a Lawrence in this county her parent being residents of that place at that time. She has been a faithful member of the church since that time and she has throughout her whole life time possessed a serene affable and loving disposition and made friends of all whomsoever she met.
Or August 11 1908 she was married to Alexander Pettey at Castledale and her early death is a source of great sorrow to her loving husband and relatives and the sympathy of the whole community go out to the bereaved family.
The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at Castledale the service being held at the meeting house. Besides the relatives there were a host of friends in attendance some coming from Huntington Orangeville Lawrence and Emery. Mr. and Mrs. Ole Olsen, Mrs. Heber Petty, Mrs. Edwards, and Luella relatives from the latter town and Mrs. Violate Holly of Springville. The speakers at the services were Ole Tuft of Lawrence, A. A. Day and Bishop Akelund of Castledale all of whom spoke words of praise for the deceased and of comfort to the bereaved. The choir sang two beautiful hymns, “O, My Father� and “Shall We Meet Beyond the River�. Elder Carl Berg offered the invocation and Elder A. E. Wall the benediction. The floral offerings were many. A large number followed to the cemetery where dedicatory services were held.
