  William Carnes was born about 1815. William married second Sarah Wilkerson, Tenn., on June 20 , 1852. (Russell Co. Book 1, p. 47) The 1860 Russell Co. census indicates that they were the parents of 1)Nancy E., 2) Mary J. and 3) Drewry. ---------------- Carnes Family Genealogy Forum Roberta, My Wm. Carnes never lived in Mo. but his son Milton did. He died in Mo. in 1859 in Camden Co. Mo. Milton married a Melvina George in Russell Co. Ky. and they eventually wound up in Camden Co. Mo. My sister and I went cemetery hopping the other day and if I am not mistaken we saw a grave for an Alfred Carnes. Milton dies at an early age, about 30, and Melvina marries 2 more times. Miltons children were William Riley and Carrie Carnes. My Wm Carnes of Ky . marries an Isabel McClure about 1835 in Ky. My e-mail address isalfiee@leblink.com if you would like to e-mail me. Thanks ====== Alice, I am descended from Williams brother, Tarleton. I have some info on William. He did live in Mo. for a short time. When his father, Alexander married #2 wife, Lydia George, He took all of his children and moved to Camden Co., Mo. with her and her family. William and Tarleton did not get along with Lydia, so they moved back to Ky; They first went to the Danville area and then moved on to Rissel Co.where they settled down. William married #2 wife in 6-20- 1852. Her name was Sarah Wilkerson. I have 5 children for Isabell and 4 children for Sarah .
