  Jimmy is buried in Barber Cemetery in Sims, Arkansas next to his son Jimmy Lynn Neighbors Jr. Jimmy was raised by Raymond Lee Cruiz Neighbors and Rena Mae Patricia (Strother) Neighbors but they never adopted him. His birth parents are Willie J. and Earlene M. (Maines)Mayo. Willie and Earlene had three other boys and four girls. Two of the children were born after Jimmy was left with the Neighbors family.
