  This came from the Okanagan Historical Society: John J. McClure and his wife left Idaho in 1888, moving to Dakota andin1889 to Calgary wher e Harry McClure was born. John & family movedtoVernon in 1890 and up land in White Valley . He traded his WhiteValley holdings for 320 acres in the Mission Valley in 1893.
