State of Missouri Plaintiff
vs Indictment for Becoming Stake Holder on Bet on Election.

Now at this day comes E.B. Boone, Circuit Attorney, who prosecutes for the State of Missouri in this behalf as well as Defendant by attorney and he being called upon how he will acquit himself of the charge sayeth that he cannot deny but that he is guilty as charged in the Bill of Indictment and puts himself upon the mercy of the Court. It is therefore ordered by the Court that the said Defendant be fined in the sum of $10 for the commission of said offence. And it is further ordered by the Court that the State of Missouri have and recover of and from said Defendant to the sum of $10 the fine assessed as aforesaid together with all her costs in this suit laid out and expended and she have execution therefor with capias clause.

Article V, Section 7 of the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of Maryland outlines the duties of the Grand Lecturer and Deputy Grand Lecturers.
The Grand Lecturer and Deputy Grand Lecturers shall adhere to and disseminate the ritualistic work, forms and ceremonies of the Fraternity in accordance with the convention of 1843 as exemplified in and approved by Grand Lodge at it's August 1863 Communication.
The Grand Lecturer, Deputy Grand Lecturers and Committee of Ritualistic Work, under the direction of the Grand Master, shall establish as many Lodges of Instruction for proper instruction in the ritualistic work, forms and ceremonies of the fraternity as needed. They shall, upon request of any Lodge, furnish or cause to be furnished, such instruction as may be needed.
The Grand Lecturer shall submit a report of his activities as well as those of the Deputy Grand Lecturers and Committee on Ritualistic Work at each stated Communication of Grand Lodge."
