  The name Walden comes from a marriage index of marriages in Barren Co,KY. Myfamily papers always called her Lucy Embrey, or Grandfather married Miss Embrey. I do not know her origins ! (Lucy Manson) !family records !Petty Papers Vol 9 #2 pg 118 b. date Lucy Embrey Petty gave birth to a daughter, Mary, on December 22,1855, (Marshall Co, KY birt h records) six months after her daughter,Nancy Jane, gave birth to her second child, Ralph P etty Quarles.Lucydied while Mary was an infant, and Nancy Jane took the child andnursed he r asher own, along with her son, Ralph.
