  see 1870 Harrison twp Moniteau Co MO Says b 1836 in MO, years for birth of children not exact match with info from Kelsay compilation,see corr Inez West and Katharine Ratcliff see also the William Ratcliff b 1827. check the records of the Ratcliff James cem again now that we have the children correct here. are there some extra stones we need to fit someplace else?? ? there is a Mary Ratcliff buried in the Ratcliff-James cem: b 22 Oct 1849, d 26 Jul 1896. did William remarry after Alis d in 1880 and before he died in 1888? yes, but to Cynthia, not Mary. Moniteau Book 4 page 233 by Garretson RH a JP. Wof Moniteau, she of High Point cemetery stone read by Aileen Ratcliff unsigned note from JD Ratcliff describes " ?Will? - a 2 gun man, shot hat off one of Price's Raiders (Mary Mc Nair Ratcliff also had an experience with Price's men) death notice: THE NEWSPAPER California MO Vol IV No 44 p3 col 3 William Ratcliff, so well known here as "Uncle Billy" died at his home in Bunceton, Cooper Co last Friday with consumption after a long illness.
