BRONTE, Coke Co., Texas, March 26 (Sp).--Mrs. Mary Ellen Scallorn, 87 years old, died at the home of her son, L.H. Kidd, three miles southwest of here, Saturday. She was born in Louisiana, but came to Texas at an early day and has since been a resident of this State. Services will be conducted at the grave Sunday by the Rev. R. D. Deweese, pastor of the First Baptist Church here. Two other children, Matt Kidd, Harlingen, and Mrs. Minerva Eastland, Westpoint, survive, besides several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
