On page 29 of "Kings & Queens of England & Scotland", it says that Edward acceded the throne in 1307 (crowned at Westminster Abbey, February 24-25, 1308). Edward was abandoned by his wife, Isabella in 1326 "with her lover, Mortimer, seizes power and deposes Edward". In 1327, "Edward is formally deposed by Parliament in favour of Edward III, his son, and is murdered in Berkeley Castle on the orders of his wife, Isabella."
