Deceased Name: MR. WILLIAM PORTER RETIRED HEAVY-EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Mr. William Jackson Porter, 70, of 2861 New Tennille Road, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kendall Heights Church of God, Sandersville, with the Revs. Elizabeth Williford and Quint Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Zeta Cemetery, Tennille.
Mr. Porter, a native of Grady County, was a retired heavy-equipment operator and service station operator. He was a member of Kendall Heights Church of God and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Alex Arch Porter; three sons, Edward Henry Porter, Harrison, Walter Robert Porter, Fairfield, Ohio, and William Jackson Porter, Savannah; two daughters, Dalphia Ann Aultman and Tonya Lee Porter, both of Alabaster, Ala.; one brother, James Joseph Porter; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at E.K. May Funeral Home, Tennille.
