TRANSCRIPT OF THE WILL OF JOSIAH EDWARDS OF TILBROOKE, TAYLOR After committing my soul into the hands of God my Creatour and my body to be buryd according to the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named I dispose of the Worldly Estate which God hath given me as followeth: TO: William Edwards my eldest son I give the sum of fforty shillings to be payd unto him by my Executrix within the space of six months after my decease. TO: Josiah Edwards my younger son I give one shilling to be payd him by my Executrix within six months after my decease. TO: Mary Sutton my eldest daughter I give a pair of hempen sheets to be given her by my Executrix within three months after my decease. TO: Rebecca Edwards my second daughter I give one halfe acre of meadow ground, and one halfe acre of Arrable Land with their appurtenances lyeing and being in the fields of Nether Deane in the County of Bedford afforesaid to her and her heires for ever to be actually possessed and enjoyed by her withing three months after my decease. I give to my daughter Rebecca one ffeather bed two boulsters two pillows one blanket one coverlet with the Curtains and valance and the bedstead which they are upon all which are in the parlour to be possessed by her within three months after my decease. I give more to my daughter Rebecca one paire of flaxen sheetes one flaxen pillow beare one hempen pillow beare one windscot chryb which is in the parlour, my biggest brasse Kettle foure pewter spoons and six flaxen napkins to be possessed and enjoyed by her within three months after my decease. TO: Abigail Edwards my youngest daughter I give my cupboard, long table, six joynt stooles which are in the hall to be possessed and enjoyed by her three months after my decease. ALL my cattell goods and chattels whatsoever unbequeathed I give to Dorothy my wife, whom I make sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this eighteenth day of June in the Thirtieth yeare of the Raigne of King Charles the Second, and in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand six hundred seventy eight.
