(PAGE) NEWSOME Dorinda's father had been married previously on 16 DEC 1855 in Muscogee Co, GA, to Mary Ellen ABNEY (1837-1863, dau. of Absolom P. & Rosanna (HALL) ABNEY), and none of Henry's five children by her are known to have survived. It's quite possible that she and at least some of the children from this first marriage are buried at the Clapp's Factory cemetery, although I don't have a record of this John Land

Absalom P. ABNEY (who m. Rosannah HALL) was a son of William "Uncle Bill" ABNEY & Ann BARNES. Absalom Troup ABNEY was a son of 1st Sgt. John ABNEY & Susan TROUP).
Absalom P. ABNEY (09 Aug 1803-07 Sep 1855) & Rosannah HALL (09 May 1817-18 Mar 1901), married on 04 Jan 1835, Newton Co., Ga. had issue:
