ARTHUR HARRIS
Arthur A. "Bill" Harris, 73, of Doris St., Phenix City, died Monday at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary's Phenix City Chapel.
Mr. Harris was born June 23, 1910, in Phenix City, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Harris. He was a member of Bethany Congregational Church and the Phenix City Moose Lodge. He was the manager of Premium Beverage Co. in Phenix City.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Harris of Phenix City; to daughters, Dolores Darrah of Columbus, and Sue Towhey of Norcross, Ga.; a sister, Myrtle Conway of Phenix City; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
THe family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary's Phenix City Chapel. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Active Pallbearers will be the grandsons of Mr. Harris. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Hodge Harris, Phenix City, Al., two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Darrah, Columbus, GA., Mrs. Sue Towhey, Norcross, GA, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Conway, Phenix City, Al., six grandchildren, Buddy Darrah, David Darrah III, Jeffrey Darrah, Robert Darrah, Dennis McClure Jr. and Victoria McClure, two great granddaughters, Susan Darrah and Jennifer Darrah. THe family will recieve friends at Striffler-Hamby Phenix City Chapel, Tuesday, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those so desiring may make contributions to The American Cancer Society.
