  Obituary: LUCYE BARKLEY WILLIAMS Lucye Barkley Williams, 90, of 3945 Old Seale Highway, Phenix City, died Friday, December 4, 1998 at her home. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. (EST) Monday at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Reverend Steve Smith officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams was born January 29, 1908 at Elmore County, AL, daughter of the late Clinton Barkley and Mary Winifred Barkley. She was a Homemaker, a retired substitute teacher, and an active member of First Methodist Church of Phenix City. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Jane Lutz and her husband, O.D. Williams. Surviving are her son, James C. Williams of Phenix City; four granddaughters, Sara Barkley Streff of Woodbridge, VA, Lea Dexter Lutz and Rebecca Amory Lutz, both of St. Louis, MO, and Jolean Barkley Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL; three great grandsons; and one great granddaughter.
