      Deed from William KELSEY to Benjamin CARTER

      To all People to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye that I William KELSEY of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of Thirty pounds money to me in hand paid to my full satisfaction by Benjamin CARTER of Killingworth in ye County aforesaid have granted and conveyed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever Seven acres of land in Oyster River Quarter in said Saybrook on the West of Horse Hill Bounded Thirty five rods East on Highway and Northerly Twenty five Rods and West Twenty nine Rods & South ward Thirty five rods all on ye land belonging to the heirs of William BARBER, the North east and North west Corners are a black oak trees the South East and Southwest corners are Black oak trees the South East and South west corners are Wallnut trees all marked and stones about them.

      To have and to hold the above granted and bargained Premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and Behoof.

      And also I the said William KELSEY do for my self my heirs executors and administrators Covenant with the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am seized of ye premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell in manner and form as is above written.

      And Furthermore I the said William KELSEY do by these presents bind myself my heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above granted premises to him the said Benjamin CARTER his heirs against all claims and demands Whatsover.

      In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the 24th day of March in ye Tenth year of our Sovereigns Reign George the Second of Great Brittain &c. King Anno Domini 1737.

      Deed from Abraham CHALKER to Nathan POST

      Know all Men by these Presents that I Abraham CHALKER of Saybrook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of two hundred pounds bills of Public Credit of the old tenor to me in hand paid to my full satisfaction by Nathan POST of the same Saybrook, Do give grant Bargain sell convey & confirm unto him the said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns forever one piece or parcel of land lying in Saybrook aforesaid in ye Quarter of Oyster River to the Northward of three cornered meadow being partly upon & partly Westward of a hill called Red oak hill and bounded as followeth viz: Beginning at a white oak tree marked P.M. which is the Southwest corner and a monument of Mr. MURDOCK's land. Thence running Northerly 67 rods to a Chestnut tree which is the Northwest Corner. Thence Easterly 40 rods to a Birch tree standing in a Claft of Rocks. Thence the same course 68 rods to a Wallnutt tree which is the Northeast cor- Thence Southerly 68 rods to a Red Oak tree which is the Southeast corner, Thence Norwesterly to a Middle bound being a Dogwood & a Monument of LYNDE's Land, Thence Southwesterly to the first mentioned white oak tree. Said land lying Norrowest in the middle being 30 rods from the Dogwood across to the Birch tree in the cleft of Rocks. The said bound trees are all marked & stones laid at the Roots of them. And the said land bounds Easterly on the highway leading from Pochaug toward Cedar Swamp & contains about thirty three acres be the same more or less.

      To have and to Hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns forever to his & their own proper use and behoof.

      And I the said Abraham CHALKER do for myself my heirs & executors & administrators Covenant with the said Nathan POST his heirs & assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple & have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner & form as is above written and that ye same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore I the said Abraham CHALKER do by these presents bind myself & my heirs forever to Warrant & defend the above granted & bargained premises to him the said POST his heirs & assigns against all Claims & demands whatsoever.

      In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 10th day of Aprill A.D. 1749.

      Establishment of Dividing Lime between Abraham CHALKER and James JORDON

      From a stake with stones at ye South East Corner Southward of ye Swamp that is Damtt across upon a Norwest Line to a stake with stones at ye North side of ye foresaid Swamp adjoining to said CHALKER's former lands which shall be a Dividing Line between Abraham CHALKER's & James JORDAN's. Dated in Saybrook this 30th day of May 1728.

      Deed from Abraham CHALKER to Edward BULL

      To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that I Abraham CHALKER of Saybrook in the County of Middlesex and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of Twelve pounds money old tenor Received to my full satisfaction of Edward BULL of the same Saybrook Have granted & conveyed & by thses presents, Do give Grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Edward BULL his heirs and assigns forever all that my thre acres of land in Oyster River Quarter in Saybrook aforesaid, which to me was laid out ye 25th day of March 1745 and is compried in a Survey Bill dated ye day above said which Survey Bill also Included one acre laid out to said BULL Reference being had to sd Survey and the Record thereof in Lib'r 6, flio 269 for a particular description thereof by the meets and bounds &c., To Have and to Hold the above granted & bargained premises with ye appurtenances thereof unto him the said Edward BULL his heirs & assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of ye premises as a good Indefeasible Estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner & form as is above written and that ye same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore I the said Abraham CHALKER do by these presents Bind myself my heirs forever to Warrant & Defend ye above granted and bargained premises to him ye said Edward BULL his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.

      In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the eighth day of April in the 18th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George ye Second of Great Brittain &c., King Annoque Domini 1745.
