    This came from the Okanagan Historical Society:

    Prather Creek: 2 1/2 miles long, and enters into Daves Creek, is east of Kelowna. Named after Oliver Bruce Prather, who pre-empted in 1893. Came in a covered wagon trek of Missourians who originally homesteaded in Idaho in 1880.

    October 6, 1904 edition of the Kelowna Clarion: Mr. and Mrs. Prather and Orva returned from a few months visit to St. Louis fair and Eastern States.

Martha (daughter of McClure, John Barnett and Goodhue, Martha Jane) was born on 20 Sep 1866 in Eola, Polk, Oregon; died on 10 Oct 1956 in Bellingham, Whatcom, Washington; was buried in Oct 1956 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ferndale, Whatcom, Washington.
