      ___________

This morning at 4 o’clock Sister Ruth Fausett of the Third ward departed this life. She had been ill only a short time and her demise was unexpected. Sister Fausett was 76 years of age, yesterday. She came to Provo in 1853 and was married to Bishop Wm. Fausett, who survives her, in June 1854. She was beloved by all her friends and acquaintances, and goes to the reward of a long and useful life, mourned by her venerable husband and the entire community.
Sister Fausett has several children scattered through all parts of the Territory, and the funeral will be deferred till they can arrive here. It is now expected that it will take place on Sunday next, but this is not fully decided. Notice will be given of time and place of the funeral services in a later issure.
